This plus size Vera Jacket from Art of Cloth features an open front style with classic shades of green and purple with black swirl design. Jacket features long flowing front at each side and lettuce leaf edging. An ancient Japanese technique, called itajame shibori, is used where fabrics and garment blanks are clamped and clipped and wrapped in a variety of ways to achieve certain effects when the fabric is “discharged”. Discharging is the process of taking the color out of fabric, and can be achieved using a number of different chemical processes. The discharging technique creates the unusual depth and amazing variations that will be found in every Art of Cloth garment.
