Sweater Sensations for Fall

There are many choices this Fall for sweaters: from tunics to cardigans to pullovers, there is a sweater to fit every silhouette and taste!

As the cooler weather occurs, it is important to have your favorite sweater right at your fingertips.   From V-necklines which are good necklines for almost every body type to earth tones, there are many selections to suit your taste this season.

The tunic such as this Berkley Boat Neck Tunic from Pure and Co. is a universal style that is good for all shapes.  The important thing to remember with this style is to provide balance with a slim shape on the bottom.  Pair with leggings or tights to balance.

For the pear shape, think clean and simple lines with a cropped style sweater such as this Iris pullover.

The best transition piece is the Cardigan. Put your fave cardigan over a dress or the traditional blouse and pants. For an extra added touch, use a belt to emphasize your waist. If you have a straighter figure, leave your cardigan loose and open.  Try something like this Lucky Sweater above or Lucky Cardigan from Pure & Co.

Don’t forget about the poncho or anorak.  Remember, you’ll want a slim bottom with this piece, as it adds volume to your look.

Don’t forget that Earth tone knits and neutrals look rich and more expensive!

From the minute I saw Adele Atkins on Saturday Night Live in 2008, I knew Adele was something special.

True fame came blasting in for her on her U.S. debut that evening, I was sure of it!

I think she is a great role model (whether she wants to be or not) for plus size women because to her, size is not an issue.   As she says, “It is all about her music because there is nothing else she is relying on to do well.”  She adds, I don’t make music for eyes. I make music for ears.”

With two two Top 5 singles and albums in the charts at the same time, Adele was the first artist  to have done so in nearly 50 years. That is quite an accomplishment!

My fave song this past summer from Adele was Rolling in the Deep. Of course, about an ex-boyfriend.  I wonder where that boyfriend is now?

Adele is living proof that size is irrelevant and we need to celebrate, encourage and applaud women of all sizes and shapes.

It is too bad that Adele had to cancel her U.S. Tour due to a vocal illness. Get Well Soon!

Keep performing! You are music to our eyes and ears!
