Curvy Girl Lingerie launches Facebook initiative encouraging sexy selfies on November 14 with women who are dressed in briefs and a bra while others wear vest tops and bustiers.

This campaign has caused a bit of a stir.  Participants must take a photo of themselves wearing ‘sexy clothes or lingerie’ with no retouching allowed.

Many of the pictures include detailed captions, revealing each participant’s story.

Said one participant,  ”I am a size 20/22. I am always told I weigh way less than I look.  I’m proud to be a bigger girl and happy to show others something they don’t get to see everyday.  A bigger girl wearing the same kind of clothes that a model wears too.”

Chrystal Bougon, 45, the owner of California-based Curvy Girl Lingerie said

“You never know who you might touch. Who you might help. Whose life you may change when they see they are NOT the only woman with cellulite, rolls, scars, saggy breasts or stretch marks.”

What a great idea!  Talk about self-acceptance and loving yourself for who you are.  Congratulations to Curvy Girl Lingerie for reminding us that beauty comes in different shapes and sizes.

That is the only way to make manufacturers pay attention.  First Abercrombie & Fitch, now another idiot.

I think in this day and age, it is ridiculous to say something like this.

How about you spend more time and money on more expensive fabric and testing your product and here’s an idea??

Vancouver-based Lululemon Athletica founder Chip Wilson said that his popular yoga pants sometimes “pill” because “quite frankly some women’s bodies just actually don’t work for it.”

Those comments made in a TV interview in the U.S. and his online apology to his employees continues to have legs almost a week later.

Sign the petition for the CEO to STOP blaming women’s bodies..

No kidding!  Take a look at Neon Buddha or Diane Kennedy or Comfy USA, they ask and listen.

More later.

Plus size model Robyn Lawley was on the Today Show speaking out against the trend of teens who want to achieve thigh gap.  Thigh gap is when your upper middle thighs do not touch when your standing with your legs today.  This social media spurred trend is popular among tweens and teens.  We need to stop this mindset as it promotes a negative body image and can lead to more serious eating disorders.

See what Robyn has to say. Do you agree?
